No more CD releases for OpenBSD, no more FTP for Debian

The times they are a-changing…

OpenBSD will no longer be released as a CD set. The team realised that spending almost a month preparing the CD wasn't going to be sustainable in the future, as this brought very little money in comparison to the time invested and what can be obtained through other channels, like straight donations. 6.0 is thus the last OpenBSD release available on CD, and will probably be quickly considered a collector's item worth a fortune on the back market. Probably.

Debian is also shaking up old habits and decided the old FTP servers will be retiring november this year. FTP usage has decreased over the years, and new means to download the Linux distribution have achieved enough popularity that obtaining the software via FTP can now be considered a thing of the past.

Also, this.
